30 September live trading

Today is last day of September.
After bad day of yesterday i tried to relax and trade in good manner.
Anyway i didn't violate rule by big mistakes.
So, made 3 trades. 2 trades closed at  +10 pips first half and second at BE.
Third trade was brilliant. But i exited too early, didn't wait for my TP hit. But entry was perfect.



 








Total for the day = +2,34
Total for the week  = +2,77.

TOTAL FOR SEPTEMBER = +19,01 %


As today we have last day of month, i need to analyze my basic stats.
I started recording stats at 8 September, and stated month from 7 September.
So generally stats will be objective:

Trading days : 16
Winning days: 14
Losing days: 2

Biggest winner day:  +4,55% (9 September)
Biggest loosing day: -2,43% (29 September)

Average trades per day: 4,5
Max trades per day: 14
Min trades per day: 1

Advanced stats for trades:



 Anyway good months in my journey. I still made a lot of mistakes.
My biggest mistakes:
1. Move stop higher (adding risk to trade)
2. Emotional trades
3. Over trading

Next month i will try to eliminate this mistakes, decrease number of trades per day. Manage risk strictly, with no errors and emotional side.

1) What is the quality of your self-talk while trading? Is it angry and frustrated; negative and defeated? How much of your self-talk is market strategy focused, and how much is self-focused? Is your self-talk constructive, and would you want others to be talking with you that way while you’re trading?

2) What work do you do on yourself and your trading while the market is closed? Do you actively identify what you’re doing right and wrong in your trading each day—with specific steps to address both—or does your trading business lack quality control? Markets are ever changing; how are you changing with them?

3) How would your trading profit / loss profile change if you eliminated a few days where you lacked proper risk control? Do you have and strictly follow risk management parameters?

4) Does the size of your positions reflect the opportunity you see in the market, or do you fail to capitalize on opportunity or try to create opportunities when they’re not there?

5) Are trading losses often followed by further trading losses? Do you end up losing money in “revenge trading” just to regain money lost? Do you finish trading prematurely when you’re up money, failing to exploit a good day?

6) Do you cut winning trades short because, deep inside, you don’t think you’ll be able to make large profits? Do you become stubborn in positions, turning small losers into large ones?

7) Is trading making you happy, proud, fulfilled, and content, or does it more often leave you feeling unhappy, guilty, frustrated, and dissatisfied? Are you having fun trading even when it’s hard work?

8) Are you making trades because the market is giving you opportunity, or are you placing trades to fulfill needs—for excitement, self-esteem, recognition, etc.—that are not being met in the rest of your life?

9) Are you seeking trading success as a part-time trader? Would you be seeking success as a surgeon, professional basketball player, or musician by pursuing your work part-time?


10) Can you identify the specific edges you possess over the many other motivated, interested traders that fail to achieve success in the markets? Do you really have an edge, and—if so—what are you doing to maintain it?

29 September Live trading

Today i have hard day. I traded very emotionally and unstable.  Made 17 trades!!! Violated all rules. I was so emotionally exhausted. Very bad day...
I had unrealized DD of over 7% !!! It's too huge.  with this kind of trading i can end my days in deep hole, without hope, wealth and friends.
I need to STICK TO HARD RULE. 2 losses in a day - STOP TRADING. Wait for another day to fight!
I made mistakes as 3 years ago, that ruin my trading account and all my trading confidence those years.

So, STICK to 2 LOSS trades rule. NEVER EVER LOSE MORE THAN 2R in your trading day!
Otherwise, you can lost all.
So, let's recover to tomorrow.







28 September live trading.

Today i made 1 good trade at London open. Managed not superior, but at least not bad.
Closed with 1,79% profit, or 1,2 R (as risk was 14 pips)

Slow day for me.
 Made 1 BE trade.
Till 14:00 there were no good setups for me.
Then i've lost concentration and missed completely up move.

Bad day....bad trade management. Added a lot to losing position. Moved stop loss to huge sizes.
Made 1 trades + 7 addings

Today was a bad trading day.
Also today was holiday in our church.
So, first i got BE with cascade of sell trades.
Then i made 2% with next 3 added sell trades.
Then 2 losses in a row
Then a profit with 2% of the day.
Made tons of mistakes.
DIDN'T CONTROL RISK - big mistake.
12 trades - total overtrading!

Started the day with a bad trade. Sold too late. Taras called me and i've lost a concentration. Then i did 2 other emotional trades, and managed them bad. So total frustrated. Then saw good setup, trade it, made a good profit. Oh well. I need this types of trades.  FMT TTE entry.

So, total for the day: + 1,95%
For the week = + 6,36%

14 September No trades

Today i worked whole European session till 18 local time. (16:00 London).
I saw only 1 good setup on m5, but it was not 100%, so i passed it.
Nearly 17:20 was another good trade, but it was so good on M3, but not so great on M5.
My friend Gregory will move to 3-12-48 min charts, not 5-15-60 min charts.

Today i made just 1 trade. But it was my best trade. I will remember it and look at it  in hard times as in good times too.
Made 1,8R from it.  Trade went to profit, then retraced, i have unrealized loss, then bump and i took takeprofit on half. And second half i've closed manually as i was scared. So, it's not the textbook trade (as per exit), but my best one.

Stop loss  1,36334

Take proft 1 = 1,3600
Second closed manually at 1,35953

When i come to PC, price already made down move for 100 pips. Then price started to trend up, but i only made sell trades today.
Slow day, missed some nice opportunities. Need to improve my ability to read market and to make optimal decisions in real time.
+0,74% today.
